Excellent points on tread mills. I think they have gotten a bad rap within the fitness community as of late; However in my opinion they are a key tool in any fitness program. The ability to set an exact pace and incline when you have a specific fitness target is a key aspect. And don’t forget the winter months. I know I won’t be jogging outside when December comes around

Due to severe foot pain I needed to lose a substantial amount of weight. After losing about 30 pounds, I was able to speed things up with a treadmill in the house. Now my motto is hurt less weigh less.
I agree about treadmills although I find that I still prefer to run outside. I suppose a lot depends on where one lives. In a big city, somewhere that’s not that safe or somewhere that’s too hot or too cold having a treadmill can be a godsend. The one problem I have with treadmills though is that I get bored and I find it really difficult to run a long distance. Thatr’s probably just me though.

nicely said.. When I first start dieting about 1 year ago, I ran on treadmill for 30 minutes almost everyday.. And it totally works. I can keep track of my heartbeat, how much calories i burn and how much km I’ve ran. I set up a new target every week and try to achieve it..
The use of treadmill is good decision! I personally prefer jogging outside but it is hard to do it when it is wintertime.
