You have nailed it! Weight loss or any life style change begins with choosing! Determining to "own the effort" to change what is not working. I counsel women every week at work and it must begin with the choosing. I can want it for them all day long, but that doesn't move them to change. The ones who are successful in losing weight, getting stronger, getting fitter are the ones who have made up their minds.

You hit it right on by focusing on the mental aspect of losing weight. Successful weight loss starts in the mind. Lifestyle changes must be ingrained in the subconscious in order to become a habit. Nice blog post!

I'm going to combine your your advice to my Weight loss plan. Thanks for providing us.

@Hot Momma
Well, losing 30 pounds in about 90 days without exercise is a great achievement. I do exercises every weekend, cut alcohol and stop everything that could make me gaining more weight but the result is only 10 pounds 60 days, is there any tricks you do to reach your achievement?

Stay strong people! I have a friend of mine that made the switch to eat better so on his lunch breaks instead of going to Mcdonalds he goes to Subway, and after cutting out pop he lost 20lbs. Didn't work out a single day either!

you know what I find interesting is that once I switched to healthy eating, just the thought of some of the fastfood restaurants out there makes me sick. Health food is good, it tastes so much better than all the empty calories out there. I mean look at Taco Bell, would you rather eat that or fresh. Give me fresh mexican food anyday, it tastes way better!

Another way to stay motivated is to let someone important to you know about your plan - this way you will also have to face the fact that if you are not serious about your commitment you can disappoint someone you care about

Thanks for the nice tips. Yes you are right that drinking water is helpful to burn fat because it maintains metabolism to burn 3% of calories and it also detoxifies your body with that proper diet and exercising is very important. Loosing weight slowly is much more beneficial for body.

For me, the diet is not the problem. Throughout the day, I drink as much water as I can and eat alot of low-fat, high-fiber foods.

My problem is the exercise. I will go for walks a couple times a week, but other than that, I don't get that much physical exercise under my belt. If I buy a gym membership, I never use it. If I try to go for a jog, my knees hurt for a few days afterwards.

It's easier for me to just not do much, and stick with a better diet. I just know that it's not enough. Do you have any exercises you could recomend for me?

I lost 30 pounds in about 90 days. Will power says it all. It is about controlling your wants. I have stuck to a mostly fruit and vegetable diet and cut out virtually all alcohol. I have not exercised, other than my normal daily activities. It is about portion control. America has doubled obesity in the last 15 years, it's truely amazing how easy it is to eat healthy once your body has adjusted to life without fast food. Fast food is the reason America is obese.
